Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars… and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers - for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are.

Thanksgiving is in nine days, it will be my 19th Thanksgiving.
Nine days until our third without you.
Is it bad that I’m not all that excited?
Going home is going to hurt for more than one reason.
passing afternoon
As I look at the photos around my room, I see change. Day to day, week to week, season to season…I’ve seen so much change over the course of a year. So much growth, so much expansion and so many blessings. I couldn’t even begin to explain these changes without taking up most of your afternoon. God has brought so many things to my attention over this past year. So many faults and so many strengths. When I think of the things that are to come, I can’t help but smile because I know that where I am does not define who I am. That may sound generic, but it is the truth. The truth is that God is working in my life every single day and I just have to go with it. Serving Him is the greatest joy in my life. When I don’t know where to turn, when I don’t have a solid rock, I turn to Him and see where He has brought me from and I look toward Him to see that I have a future in Him and a blessed one at that.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Why are you looking for love
Why are you still searching as if I’m not enough
To where will you go child
Tell me where will you run
To where will you run
